The Massachusetts Alliance for Early College Names New Executive Director
Boston, MA – July 1, 2025
The Massachusetts Alliance for Early College is proud to announce the appointment of Chessye Moseley as its new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2025. Moseley succeeds Erika Giampietro, who has served in the role since the organization’s launch in 2021 and will continue to serve the organization as Chair of the Board of Directors.
Moseley brings over 12 years of experience in education policy, nonprofit leadership, teaching, and student advocacy. She will lead the Alliance in its mission to expand access to high-quality Early College programs that close equity gaps and improve college and career outcomes for Massachusetts students, easing their path to fulfilling lives of choice and contributing to a healthy, thriving, and opportunity-filled future Commonwealth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chessye into this role,” said Giampietro. “She has demonstrated through her leadership as Deputy Director over the past four years that she is more than ready for this role. She has a deep understanding of the transformative impact of Early College and a proven track record of building coalitions and driving systemic change. Chessye is the right leader for this next chapter of growth and impact.”
Moseley has served as Deputy Director of the Alliance since its founding, and helped to co-found the Alliance in the year prior to launch. Prior to the Alliance, she worked for eight years with Teach For America, both as a middle-school educator and in management, operations, and development roles. Moseley has been dedicated to working closely with educators, policymakers, and community partners to create equitable pathways to postsecondary success.
“I am honored to step into this role at the Alliance at such a pivotal time,” said Moseley. “I look forward to working alongside our incredible partners to ensure that Early College scales significantly to benefit thousands more students and to do so in a way that is increasingly career-integrated and motivating for today’s young people. The Alliance is well positioned to support leaders on the ground and policymakers at the helm to do this work.”
The Massachusetts Alliance for Early College represents a growing coalition of school districts, higher education institutions, and nonprofit partners working to strengthen and expand the Early College movement across the state. Through collective advocacy, policy leadership, and program support, the Alliance supports programs that give students a head start on college and careers—at no cost to themselves or their families.
