Spotlight on Early College: A Special Event to Celebrate Growth and Innovation in the Commonwealth

On October 17, we partnered with Latinos for Education, the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education, the MassHire North Shore Workforce Board, and MassINC to host Spotlight on Early College: A Special Event to Celebrate Growth and Innovation in the Commonwealth at North Shore Community College. The goal of the event was to celebrate Early College’s impact and innovative approaches on the North Shore and in Merrimack Valley. As we reflect on the event, we continue to be buoyed by the outpouring of support from the many attendees of the event, and we left feeling inspired and motivated by each speaker’s powerful remarks.

In hearing from Commissioner Riley, Mayor Driscoll, President Heineman, Superintendent Boyd, and many more, we were reminded of the meaningful impact of Early College at both the state- and local-levels. We were uplifted by the many ways that the Early College Initiative was brought to life, including by student speakers Patrick Sainato and Luis Raul Raudales, and remain steadfast in our commitment to support expanded access to high quality Early College across the Commonwealth. We look forward to working with partners across the state in the coming months and years to ensure a thriving Early College Initiative.
