The Massachusetts Alliance for Early College (MA4EC) is a cross-sector coalition focused on dramatically increasing the number of students with access to high-quality Early College in Massachusetts. The Alliance believes that increasing access to Early College is key to promoting college and career success and closing equity gaps.

Over 8,000 Massachusetts students are enrolled in designated Early Colleges this school year.

Our goal is to close a quarter of the statewide college success equity gap by race and income and benefit thousands of students beyond that through the growth of high quality Early College programs in Massachusetts.

How Do We Plan to Reach This Goal?

We will focus on four main areas to increase access to high-quality Early College programs in Massachusetts.

Collective Impact

Building and activating a powerful, energized coalition of cross-sector partners across the state around ambitious Early College goals.

Policy Conditions

Educating and advocating for sufficient, sustainable, and predictable funding and policy conditions that are conducive to the growth of high-quality Early College.

Capacity Building

Supporting program quality through the growth of technical assistance, resources, and tools.

Innovation

Fostering a culture of innovation and improvement to promote program models that increase student engagement and positive outcomes.
